What is an Osteopathy treatment? Osteopathy treats bones, joints, and muscles to enhance the body’s natural ability to heal. When the anatomy is unrestricted and each joint is moving properly, there is no excessive strain or load placed on one area of the body. This allows the nerves, arteries, veins, and lymphatic systems to flow freely. An osteopathic treatment can help with musculoskeletal complaints (back, hip, shoulder, leg, and jaw), sciatica pain, sleep cycles, migraines, headaches, back pain, constipation, stress incontinence, posture from carrying baby or breastfeeding, rebalancing the pelvis, fatigue, depression, anxiety, and asthma.

What is an Osteopath? An Osteopathic Manual Practitioner is able to assess asymmetry within the anatomy of each individual patient, and apply a variety of techniques to treat the fascia, muscles, and ligamentous tissue. An osteopathic manual practitioner will help you maintain and restore health to all systems of the body.

Who benefits from Osteopathy? Osteopathy is applicable to all ages and stages of life. From chronic injuries to acute injuries to headaches and digestive issues and more. A full assessment is done prior to every treatment to ensure the safety and necessity of treatment.

What should I wear for my osteopathy treatment? For your assessment and treatment, it’s best to dress comfortably in loose/stretchy pants or shorts.

Is manual osteopathy covered by my health insurance plan? Manual osteopathic treatment is covered by most extended health plans. Unfortunately, we cannot direct bill to insurance companies for this service. We will provide you with a receipt which you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Hillary understands the anatomical changes associated with your pregnancy journey, and how this can affect your daily living, especially if you are not feeling your best. She believes that the body is a resilient dynamic unit of function, and strives to ensure every part is able to function harmoniously.
